The GF just informed me that we are going to the Circus tonight as a combination Anniversary/Valentine's Day gift for me...

Tif bought us tickets to see Saltimbanco, the oldest touring show of Cirque Du Soleil. I am going to see them TONIGHT! I am fired up, I love the Circus. This will be the second Cirque show I have seen. I also saw La Nouba in Orlando. Aren't girlfriends grand? I cannot wait to see the show tonight, I just spent a hour on the Cirque website!

UPDATE: The Circus was FANTASTIC! I liked La Nouba better, but they had a permenant venue for their show and that helps. Still...Cirque Du Soleil is by far the best show I have ever had the pleasure of attending (and that includes Two Adam Ant Concerts)...TY Tif!

Nadya Suleman is a NUTJOB...

OK, I'm watching this woman talk and all I hear her say is 'Blah blah blah I'm crazy blah blah blah pay attention to me blah blah blah how can I exploit my children blah blah blah..." There is NO WAY this is going to have a happy ending. I expect to see birth defects, neglect, DFS intervention, scandal and poverty. UPDATE: Everyone gets to decide on their own whether to have kids or not, and how many to have and how to raise them. But that doesn't relieve you from the responsibility that goes along with the decisions and that doesn't hide you from the harsh glare of the light of notoriety when you make bad decisions.

Hello Faithful Readers!

Yesterday Tif and I went to the STL Travel Show, it was much smaller than last year, but still fun none the less. I spent some mula at the Blue Owl Restaurant & Bakery's booth. You can visit them on the Internet here: http://www.theblueowl.com/ Later I went over to the gf's parent's house to watch the Super Bowl and eat some shrimp. I fell asleep through most of the last part of the game, only awake during the parts where the Cardinals looked like they might win. I'm watching "Cast A Giant Shadow", it is chuck full of famous Hollywood actors. I need to read some history books on the Israel War I don't think this movie is historically accurate. Today is my first day at work in the new Fiscal Year. We'll see how it goes...

My brother has received his new orders.

My little brother has received his new orders. He will be sent to Afghanistan for a year in about a month. He will miss a lot of Conner's life including his first birthday. I want to spend a weekend in Feb with him and my family before he goes.

We saved 98 Payroll hours last week, I am very proud of my co-workers. I still don't think we are going to make the SPH Goal, but we will be close and hopefully that will be enough. We were closed for a day and a half this week due to the snow/ice/sleet, so no love for David this week from Mother Nature. We will see how we finished out for the year next week about Tuesday...

They made a CD from the last live performance Adam Ant gave in the UK. He read from his Autobiography and sang some acoustic songs accompianed by his buddy Dave Pash. I can't wait for it to arrive! I should see it in about 2 weeks, it's coming in form the UK...

It's early Tuesday morning and I need to get ready for work and head in UBER early so see what the roads are like and to decide if we are going to open for business today. I must have fallen asleep early last night I missed a phone call from my Asst. asking my opinion about closing early last night. Slept right through the cell phone ringing. We are supposed to get more snow around Noon. This is going to kill my business today and we cannot affort to spend payroll with no mula coming into the registers.

My D O G SNOOKY does not like the cold. I'll be lucky if she goes outside today. Love the Boston Terriers, but the Boston Terriers do not love the cold...

I feel like I need to re-read some Comic Books and reaquire some NERD points...

I'll give you three guesses where I'll be on March 6th at 12:01am (and the first two don't count). I cannot wait to see the Watchmen movie. My fear is that they will butcher the BEST Graphic Novel of all time. I will go and see the movie with a positive mindset. I just read an interview from Alan Moore about his beliefs on the Movie Industry. He's nuts. I appreciate his genius as a comic book creator, but he's one free toy short of a Happy Meal. I hope I can talk the gf into going with me, I hope to gather Ray and maybe Geoff too and go as a group. I still have the original Watchmen Watch and a Watchmen Tshirt (that I can no longer fit into). I'm a nerd...

Last week of my Store's Fiscal Year

Well it's been a good year for my Store. By most of the measurements we are graded on we have had a successful year, and I am very proud of my co-workers. We are still fighting to achieve our SPH Sales Goal (that's Sales Per Hour), which is a measurement of how many Payroll Hours we use to achieve the Plan Sales set by my Company. We are not going to make it by my estimates. True to form, I am still sprinting towards the finish line. I will never give up, and I will never quit. If you ever see me on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, I will not quit answering questions till I lose or I win a Million Bucks. That is how I'm put together. I have to go now, to try and keep the folks I work with motivated to run with me some more...

It's a beautiful day today...

I have the door on my balcony open because it's so nice outside today. I hope we do well at the store today, the rest of this week and next week ends our Fiscal Year. We are trying hard to hit some serious goals for the store. I close tonight, and I hope I'm busy as heck tonight. My people are doing a great job and I'm very proud of them. I ate at Arby's for lunch today. One word: Potato Cakes...

We have a NEW President!

When I push the "Publish Post" button at the bottom of this 'Create Posting' box on my journal we will have a NEW President of the United States of America. I am very proud of America and my fondest wish is for the success and well-being of all Americans. I hope that my NEW President Barack H. Obama will govern from the middle and ignore the extremists from both parties and make America Great Again. I am tired of the hatred and pettiness of politics and I want to see big things from my NEW President. There will be detractors. People that cannot except what the Voters in America decided. And that is OK. America is for Americans, people do not have to agree with each other to live together and work together for the common good. Good Luck Mr. President, you will need it...

Here is a recipe emailed to me from a fellow chatter in BA...

i usually use picnic pork cut into strips u can use medallions if u wish and i quadruple the recipe so it will coat more and adding pressed garlic is fabbbbbulous


oil in elect skillet
pork strips
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves ( or italian seasoning or oregano )
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves

pressed garlic cloves

this amount is best for just two ppl and very small amt of pork but for a whole roast u need to quadruple

this does not cook for long on elec skillet at 350 it only takes less than ten mins u want to keep it tender it d be golden on outside but tender inside but if strips are thick cook longer

Ricardo Maltaban has died. I used to watch The Love Boat every week. We'd quit playing in the yard to plop down in front of the TV to see the show. The Wrath Of Khan was the BEST Star Trek Movie, mainly due to Ricardo Maltaban's portrayal of KHAN. He made that movie. Very sad day...

Hello Faithful Readers,

I returned from my Vacation in Ft. Myers Beach late last night to cold and ice in Missouri. I just sat down after warming up the GF's car for her (she has to brave the closed entrance ramps and the icy stretches of Highway here in St. Louis this morning). I have to pop into my store to sit in on a Conference Call with my Boss and then I'm off to pick up my D O G from Tif's Sister (she was kind enough to watch SNOOKY while I was off galavanting around in Florida). Tif and I had a great time on Vacation. We visited with my Family (especially my new Nephew Conner!). We got to walk on the Beach, pick up Sand Dollars and other pretty treasures. We visited the Edison/Ford Winter Estates. We shopped. We visited Cayo Costa and Cabbage Key. Ate out quite a bit (how is that different from our normal schedule?), and had LOADS of fun in Florida. I have taken lots of pictures and they will be on the Webshots Album shortly. Until then this one will have to do...
