WEARY (part one) part two is under Dec 11th's entry
WEARY (part one)
the dimming of the lights
the hush of the crowd
CENTER RING IS EMPTY
children look around
children strain their eyes
THE SAWDUST IS UNDISTURBED
movement from stage left
movement of a slow kind
STARK SPOTLIGHT STABS THE RING
slowly moving into the tent
slowly shuffling into the ring
A JANITOR WHEELS IN HIS TRASHCAN
he moves into the ring
he circles the spotlight
WE CAN BARELY MAKE HIM OUT
his appearence is of rags
his clothes are of the road
HE STARES AT THE CIRCLE OF LIGHT
he looks so sad
he looks so tired
AS HE GAZES OUT TO US
he has the face of a hobo
he has the heart of an artist
WE ALL LOVE HIM SO
he takes out his broom
he takes out his dustpan
PEOPLE START TO LAUGH
little laughs at first
little chuckles now
WE'VE SEEN THIS ONE BEFORE

Writing a poem with the words Flower, Fable, and Dying...
a love fable
WITH PEN IN HAND
I SIT AT MY TABLE
WRITING A POEM
AND CREATING A FABLE
TO TELL THE STORY
OF A MAN WHO'S TRYING
TO FIND A WIFE
WITHOUT MUCH CRYING
HE SPENDS HIS TIME
AND ALL HIS MONEY
LOOKING FOR A LADY
TO CALL HIM HONEY
SO PITY THE MAN
AS HE TRIES TO WOW HER
HE STANDS IN THE STREET
AND HANDS HER A FLOWER
HE HOPES FOR THE BEST
AS HE GIVES IT HIS ALL
HE'S WAITING FOR LOVE
BUT SUSPECTS A FALL
HE'LL NEVER GIVE UP
OR EVER STOP TRYING
TILL HE FINDS A WIFE
EVEN IF DYING
SO LISTEN GOOD
AND LISTEN WELL
THE FABLES OVER
NOTHING ELSE TO TELL

PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never seen your face
I've never heard your voice
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never seen you smile
I've never heard you laugh
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never held your hand
I've never looked at your mouth
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never held you close
I've never looked in your eyes
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP 0N ME
I've never kissed your mouth
I've never felt your touch
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never kissed your neck
I've never felt your heartbeat
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never sat across from you
I've never heard your stories
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never sat next to you
I've never heard you cry
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME
I've never held you in my arms
I've never even met you
I'VE NEVER EVEN MET YOU
please don't give up on me

My brother Mark is in Kuwait, he flies CH-47 Chinooks!
Families first displayed the Service Flag, or the Blue Star Flag, during World War I to honor their family members serving in the United States Armed Forces during a time of war or hostility. The tradition grew during World War II, with thousands of families and businesses displaying service flags in their windows. Each blue star symbolizes one service member on active duty during a conflict.

I love Circuses!
WEARY (part two) [Part one is under Dec 26th's entry]
he bends at the waist
he reaches for the spot
THE LIGHT FLEES HIS BROOM
we roar in laughter
we laugh right out loud
HE STANDS THERE ALL ALONE
he pursues the impish spot
he chases the errant light
AND WE FORGET OUR TROUBLES
entertainment in the center ring
entertainment he freely gives
HE LOOKS SO SAD
he catches the spot
he sweeps up the light
SMALLER AND SMALLER IT SHRINKS
the hush of the crowd
the dimming of the light
HE IS ALONE IN THE CENTER RING
he looks so sad
he looks so tired
AS HE GAZES OUT TOWARDS US
he puts away his broom
he puts away his pan
PEOPLE START TO CLAP
slowly shuffling out off the ring
slowly moving away from the crowd
HE ROLLS HIS TRASHCAN AWAY
the hush of the crowd
the lights come back up
CENTER RING IS EMPTY

Writing a poem with the words: horizon, banana, soft and winter...
On a cold winter's day
as I scan the horizon
I see a soft banana
that I have to keep my eyes on
::ties the calf's legs and raises hands::
"Time judge?"
Ok, I'm a little goofy....
::Laying down on the kitchen floor and flapping my arms and legs::

Writing that poem made me sad, taking these photos made me happy...
Here are some pics of stuff I have lying around. These are the first staged photos I have taken. I took them in the bathroom (it has the best light). I hung my Muslim Prayer Rug from the shower curtain and use chip clips to keep it from sliding down and falling. I stacked three boxes up high so that I wouldn't have to bend over to take the pictures (I'm lazy ::shrugs shoulders::)...
Building walls
building walls
brick by brick
I wall myself off
layer by layer
I wall them out
brick by brick
I shut myself in
layer by layer
I shut them out
brick by brick
I protect myself
layer by layer
I isolate myself
brick by brick
I'll feel no pain
layer by layer
I'll cry no more
brick by brick
I stand alone
layer by layer
I wish for someone
brick by brick
I am alone
layer by layer
I cry...

ho Ho HO Happy Giftmas!
In case anyone actually reads this (and how would I know, no one leaves any comments), I'm sorry that I haven't put anything down in a couple of days. Who'd a thunk it, I work in a toy store and I'm busy at Giftmas Time! LOL! I just wanted to pop on and do a little cleaning of my site. I'll try to put finger to keyboard a little bit later on and write a new poem.

Single again ::sigh::
I bought a new book: "Ada Blackjack - A True Story Of Survival In The Artic". I think I am falling in love with this woman. Looks like I was born too late, lol. I also picked up "the best of MORRISSEY", and am listening to it. I love him, his stuff rings true to me. Chatting on line again...

lol, one of my away messages...
the day is long
and my time is short
I leave this laptop
in search of sport
I travel long
and I travel far
in search of fun
I follow my star
so say goodbye
or leave a note
when I get back
I'll read what you wrote...
