new poem

lazy thoughts

While biking among the river giants.
I watch the dust dance in sunbeams. 
A flash of yellow catches my eye.
A oriole swoops past the biketrail.
Leaves matted to the trail by dew.
Crunch as I ride over them up hill.
Geese sleep underneath the trees.
It's too hot to get all excited today.
Coasting downhill is my favorite.
The wind flows past my face.
And the air fills my lungs
I am alive and
